What is the cost of Family Weekend?
$40 for adult guests, and free for children under 10 years of age.
Where can I stay during the weekend?
We have coordinated special CUA rates at a number of area hotels. In addition to these hotels DC has numerous hotels that are near campus or a short metro ride away. For more information on hotels please visit our hotel information page.
Pregame barbecue and football game on Friday, continental breakfast, brunch featuring President Garvey, and the Family Weekend Carnival.
When is the registration deadline?
There is no deadline to register for Family Weekend.

When should I plan to check in?
Check-in will be available from noon - 6 p.m. on Friday, and from 8 a.m. - 1 p.m. on Saturday. After 1 p.m. Saturday, check-in will occur at the Pryzbyla Center Information Desk
Is parking available on campus?
On campus parking will be available. All vehicles must be in a marked parking space. Please do not park in yellow zones, on grass or walkways, in handicap or other specifically reserved spaces, or at loading docks or crosswalks. Depending on your accommodations, taking Metrorail may be a more convenient option for traveling to and from campus.
Is Catholic University accessible by Metro?
Yes, Catholic University is located on the red line, at the Brookland-CU stop. (WMATA Website)
How can I register for the external events, like the tour of the U.S. Capitol?
Registration for additional events during Family Weekend can be done during your regular registration. If you have already registered for Family Weekend and would like to add these events please complete the seperate event registration form found on the Family Weekend registration website
Can my younger son/daughter stay in the residence hall with my CUA student?
Siblings who are 16 and older may stay with their same sex sibling overnight. These siblings must be registered in advance, so make sure you register the sibling on the Family Weekend registration website
Does my CUA student have to pay to register?
No, the registration fee for Family Weekend does not apply to your student. However, everyone needs to be registered for the weekend, including your current CUA student. And, fees that apply to tours/excursions are applicable to students.
What if I require special accommodations?
CUA has a very detailed policy regarding reasonable accommodations at university events. To request additional accommodations please contact the Office of Campus Activities at 202-319-6003 at least one week prior to the event to request accommodations. In all situations, a good faith effort (up until the time of the event) will be made to provide accommodations.
Is it necessary to register for Family Weekend?
Yes, all family members should register for Family Weekend so we are able to plan to accommodate everyone (food, seating, service project, etc.).
Registration and other fees are non-refundable.
What methods of payment are available?
All registration must be done online and we accept Visa, Mastercard, Discover, and American Express. We do not accept payments by cash or check.
